Lakeside Painters, Inc. was started in 1986 by Tim Beduhn and Jeff Theilmann when both partners were attending college. By 1990, the company grew to six teams working on exterior painting projects around the Twin Cities area. In the winter of 1990, the interior paint and remodeling divisions were added. Carpenter Roger Schilling joined the team at that time and is still with Lakeside Painters, Inc. today.

In the mid 1990s, Lakeside Painters, Inc. began receiving awards for the Highest Quality Painting Company in the Twin Cities and has achieved the #1 rating for the last nine years. In the early 1990s, Jeff McHugh joined Lakeside Painters, Inc. When Jeff Theilmann left the industry in 2004, Jeff McHugh became the new partner. In 2010, Justin Bigham took over for Jeff McHugh when Jeff decided to pursue other interests. Tim Beduhn is a licensed color analyst and teaches classes on how to select colors for interior and exterior paint. Lakeside Painters, Inc. specializes in color selection.
